Academic Advising 

The College of Business and Economic Development provides multiple options for academic advising. Each semester, all students are provided the best possible recommendations via email to ensure they are progressing toward graduation. 

Advising Options: 

• Email Advising | Respond with any questions – at their convenience – to their Academic Advisor before they register
• Attend In-Person Meetings | Academic Advisors have in-person meetings for students with questions. We’re located in Scianna Hall 2035 – appointments are required for in-person meetings. Contact your academic advisor to schedule a meeting. 
• Virtual Office Hours | Academic Advisors provide virtual office hours – we’re accessible online without an appointment for online students or those who can’t attend in-person office hours

Graduating Students

You must submit your graduation application to your advisor ASAP. The application can be found in the drop-down menu in your Student Center in SOAR. Students earning a Certificate must also submit a Certificate application – also available in SOAR.

Please complete the if you have previously applied to graduate, but you will be graduating in a future term.

Undergraduate Academic Services

The Hattiesburg Undergraduate Academic Services for the College of Business and Economic Development is in Scianna Hall, Suite 2035. Undergraduate students enrolled in our college will undergo advisement at the end of each semester to prepare for the next, helping students stay on track as they work towards their degree.
