Block Schedule for Regular Session
To use Block Schedule meeting patterns, you must pair your course with a different course. This means that is you use a room on Monday from 8:00-11:15, then someone else with a different course must use the same room on Wednesday from 8:00-11:15, etc.
If a Department needs to offer a class on a block schedule but does not have a second course to pair using the same room and timeframe, the scheduler needs to coordinate with other departments in the college to offere a block course. Block courses that are not paired will be monitored and may be changed to an alternative mmeting pattern.

Scheduling Classes outside of Standard Meeting Patterns
Classes scheduled that do not meet a standard meeting pattern will be monitored. If
a Department needs to offer a class through a meeting pattern that is not approved,
the administrator needs to request the course(s) be considered an exception by sending
a memo through the Dean of the College to the Provost with details of the need to
schedule "off grid". Documentation of the exception with the specific course(s) impacted
must be included in the request.
