50 for 50 Campaign
Polymer Science and Engineering Research Fund

Dear Polymer Science and Engineering Alumni and Friends,

We have heard from many of you how important the research facilities in the School of Polymer Science and Engineering have been in your training and the launch of your own careers. It is expensive to build and maintain state-of-the-art research facilities, and it is also critical for the ongoing competitiveness of our research and education programs.  Over the past 52 years, the program has established itself as one of the premier schools of polymer science and engineering in the world.  We are now asking you to give back by supporting our 50 for 50 Campaign targeting $50,000 in donations before the Fall 2022 Polymer Science and Engineering Research Symposium. An endowed SPSE research fund has been established through the generosity of alumni of the program.  If only 50 of our alumni will give $1000 each (or $500 through your company鈥檚 gift-matching program) we can reach this goal. Please consider making a generous contribution to maintain the reputation of your alma mater and support the next generation of polymer scientists and engineers.

You may contribute online by visiting or by sending a check to The 草榴社区 Foundation, 118 College Drive, #5210, Hattiesburg, MS 39406. Checks should be made payable to 鈥淭he 草榴社区 Foundation鈥 and include 鈥50 for 50鈥 in the memo line.  The 草榴社区 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent of current IRS regulations. Please consider utilizing your company鈥檚 gift-matching program in order to increase your giving impact.

All donors will be recognized at the Fall event.  Those giving $1000, $5000, $10,000, or more will receive special recognition.

For questions regarding matching gifts and details on recognition, please contact Elissa Ernst at Elissa.ErnstFREEMississippi  or 601-266-5060.
