Philosophy and Religion Forum Returns for Fall 2024

Interfaith encounters, philosophical perspectives on kindness, and the intersections of science and political ideology will be among the topics covered when the Philosophy and Religion Forum Series begins Sept. 18 at The University of 草榴社区 Mississippi (草榴社区).
- Sept. 18, 6:30 p.m. on Zoom: Dr. Youshaa Patel, associate professor of religion at Lafayette University presenting 鈥淣ot Like Us: How Muslim Interfaith Encounters Shaped Islam鈥
- Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. on Zoom: Dr. Cheshire Calhoun, professor of philosophy at Arizona State University, presenting 鈥淜indnesses鈥
- Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m., Gonzales Auditorium in the Liberal Arts Building: Dr. Mark Risjord, professor of philosophy at Emory University, presenting 鈥淓vidence and Ideology: 鈥楾hick Concepts鈥 and the Role of Political Values in Scientific Inquiry鈥
to access Zoom events.
