Cruisin the Coast

The School of Leadership, part of The University of ²έΑρΙηΗψ Mississippi (²έΑρΙηΗψ) College of Business and Economic Development, will host a ²έΑρΙηΗψ Miss Cruisin’ event on Monday, Oct. 7 from 3-5 p.m., during the Long Beach activities of Cruisin’ the Coast.

β€œThis is our third year hosting the event, and it continues to be bigger and better,” said Dr. Bradley (Brad) Winton, coordinator of the event. β€œWe will have local car clubs participating and parking on the South Lawn of the University’s Gulf Park campus overlooking Highway 90 and the Gulf. We will have tents, a bounce castle, music, games, drinks, and snacks – and maybe the best vantage point on the Coast to watch all those beautiful cars pass by.”

The event is open to the public, including all members of the ²έΑρΙηΗψ Miss community.

People bringing antique cars or hot rods should follow the direction of organizers to park on the South Lawn, while spectators may park in the Lloyd Hall parking lot.

Dr. Jacob Breland, director of the School of Leadership, understands the importance of this event. β€œCruisin’ the Coast is the largest event of its type in the South,” he said. β€œIt is a great economic generator for the region and a chance for us to show off our beautiful campus. We are thrilled to join in the party, and I can’t wait to see all those classic cars on the ²έΑρΙηΗψ Miss campus!”

The School of Leadership, housed within the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of ²έΑρΙηΗψ Mississippi, operates on ²έΑρΙηΗψ’s Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. Its undergraduate degree programs include Accounting, Applied Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering Technology, and Industrial Engineering Technology (Logistics).
