NSSLHA Chapter at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Awarded 2022 Bronze Chapter Honors

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) has awarded the NSSLHA Chapter at The University of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Mississippi (²ÝÁñÉçÇø) with 2022 Bronze Chapter Honors.
Efforts made by the NSSLHA Chapter at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø helped National NSSLHA:
- Increase awareness of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) on more than 135 local college campuses and communities across the country as well as through virtual platforms
- Increase advocacy efforts by sending more than 6,500 letters to state and federal legislators
- Provide scholarships to students in communication sciences and disorders programs by contributing more than $25,000 to the ASHFoundation’s NSSLHA Scholarship
- Support Communication Sciences and Disorders-related organizations by donating more than $67,000 and approximately 26,000 hours of chapter members’ time
During the 2021-2022 school year the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association completed 10 service projects on the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø campus and in our communities.
National NSSLHA Chapter Honors are awarded to affiliated NSSLHA chapters that demonstrate an outstanding effort to support National NSSLHA’s mission to inspire, empower, and support students in CSD programs.
