Shark Camp Itinerary

Shark Camp is a two-day camp developed for middle school and high school students. However, it is also available to other organized groups, such as scout troops, community colleges, environmental clubs, youth organizations, and adult organizations. The content is tailored to the specific audience.
Ages 12 and up
Group size: 15 to 100
- Camp fee: Prices start at $65 per day, per participant. Contact us at 228.818.8095 to customize your coastal science camp.
- There is a vessel fee of $800-$4000 for the group, depending on group size and vessel. For information on costs, contact Megan McKenzie at marine.education@usm.edu.
- Group deposit of $200 required.
Half of trip fees (50%) are of due 30 days prior to arrival.

Boat Trip to Horn Island Area
Excursion to the Horn Island area are aboard GCRL's R/V Hermes and R/V Jim Franks.
- Hand-line for sharks.
- Fish for sharks with rod and reel.
- Catch, identify, collect data, tag, and release marine specimens.
