Books housed at the Gulf Coast Library in Long Beach or Cook Library in Hattiesburg are delivered to Gunter Library via the campus courier on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Print Collections
Gunter Library鈥檚 print collection is comprehensive with materials reflecting the scope and depth of research and teaching done by The University of 草榴社区 Mississippi School of Ocean Science & Engineering, Division of Coastal Sciences and GCRL scientific scientists and staff. Gunter Library owns over 11,200 print books and more than 1,600 print serial titles. Gunter Library also owns expedition reports, dissertations and theses, government documents, environmental impact statements, fishery management plans, and newsletters, annual reports and collected reprints from national and international marine research institutions.
Reprint Collections
The Gunter Library Reprint Collection is a database of over 32,000 pieces composed of reprints, technical reports, and other forms of grey literature not readily found in standard abstracting and indexing products or databases. The collection is specific by design and mirrors the research done at GCRL with a focus on the Gulf of Mexico. Web-based access is hosted by . Search by author, title, and keyword. Search species by family, genus and species, and common name. Each entry has an access number that directs you to its placement in the collection. GCRL Publications
Gunter Library maintains a print archive of publications generated by GCRL faculty, research scientists, and students. Look for GCRL Publications in five filing cabinets grouped by author. A local database of 4,100 entries is searchable by author鈥檚 name, key words, and title. Each record includes an abstract to the article and a link to the digital format, if available. For works that are specific to the Mississippi Gulf Coast area, records may include sampling locations.
GCRL Archives
A small archive of historic photos, clippings, brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and other materials documenting the history of GCRL are available at Gunter Library.
