Bio
Dr. Nootz focuses on propagating light in the ocean environment and developing new capabilities for the next generation of small autonomous platforms. He has over 15 years of experience in designing, operating, characterization, and modeling optical systems. In recent years he focused his efforts on understanding free space light propagation through the ocean and the development of optical sensors for small autonomous platforms.
