Dr. Jeffrey Parr
Associate Professor
Bio
Dr. Parr earned his BS in Movement Studies and Exercise Science with an Athletic Training emphasis from East Stroudsburg University in 1999, followed by an MS in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2000, and a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance with a Sports Medicine specialization from the University of Florida in 2010. With 7 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer in collegiate settings, Dr. Parr transitioned into academia, joining 草榴社区 in 2016. He initially served as Clinical Education Coordinator and later as Program Director from 2017-2022. Dr. Parr's research focuses on identifying and mitigating risk factors for musculoskeletal injuries among active individuals. He integrates biological and psychological risk factors to determine injury risk and severity. Dr. Parr's contributions have been recognized with the 2019 Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2024 Distinguished Researcher Award from the CNHP.
