Bio

I received my PhD in Molecular Biology from the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology (EIMB) in Moscow, Russia. After completion of my PhD, I was a postdoctoral associate, and later an Assistant Research Professor at Washington State University. I joined the University of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Mississippi in 2013. My research is broadly focused on plant microbiome. Plants, like humans, host distinct microbial communities that supply plants with nutrients and defend them against pathogens. The research in my lab seeks to understand how interactions between plants and microorganisms may change in response to environmental stress. The second line of my research is focused on the use of plant-derived antimicrobials to control pathogenic microbes.
