Dr. Melissa Ziegler
Assistant Teaching Professor
Bio
Dr. Melissa Ziegler is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Kinesiotherapy. She has a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration, her research focuses on influencers of Physical Activity patterns of college students. She has a master鈥檚 degree in Human Performance with a specialization in Exercise Science and a BS in Human Performance with an emphasis in Kinesiotherapy. Her background includes cardiopulmonary testing, cardiac rehab, and exercise prescriptions for those with cardiac, pulmonary, or metabolic disorders.
Dr. Ziegler find lots of joy in teaching; she wants to instill in her students a love of learning. She completed her Certificate in Effective College Instruction through the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) series, resulting in a and the honor of the title, Distinguished Teaching Scholar in 2018. Her experiences with ACUE will be instrumental in her continued growth as a college instructor.
