Program completion requirements: Participants are expected to complete the entire program. Participants will watch interactive lectures followed by answering questions concerning the content. Participants must get 80% of the items correct before moving to the next section. Individuals who do not complete the full program will not be recommended for ASHA CEUs. No partial credit will be provided. All participants will need access to a device with internet access to complete the course.
In order to best serve students, it is important to understand the components of a comprehensive assessment used to evaluate students for dyslexia. This workshop will address a wide range of skill areas and the reasons for assessing each of these areas. Participants will become familiar with commonly used assessment instruments and will learn how the results of a comprehensive evaluation can aid in planning therapy to remediate deficit areas. Sample evaluation reports will be presented, and participants will learn how to analyze and interpret these reports to develop a profile of student strengths and weaknesses.
